Terms of Service

The agreement

These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Refund Policy are the agreement between you and Studio Plus.

• Using the app means you accept all three.
• Buying credits or starting a subscription is also your agreement to all three.
• If you don't agree with something here, don't use Studio Plus.

What Studio Plus is

A video editor for Apple Silicon Macs. Everything that runs on your Mac is free, works without an account, and stays yours. Credits pay only for cloud AI: video, image, music, and voice generation, the AI assistant, and cloud captions. The app keeps itself up to date; automatic checks can be managed in Settings.

Your account

Cloud AI and purchases need an account. Keep your details accurate and your email secure — anything done while signed in to your account counts as you. If you think someone else has access, tell us at hi@studioplus.cc.

Credits

• Credits are a prepaid allowance for cloud AI features. They are not money: they have no cash value, can't be transferred, and are refundable only as the Refund Policy says.
• Credits never expire, and cancelling a plan never removes them.
• A generation holds its estimated cost while it runs and settles to the actual cost when it finishes. A failed generation releases its hold.
• Feature prices in credits can change as the underlying model prices change.
• At zero or negative balance, paid features pause. Free features keep working.
• We may apply reasonable purchase limits.

Subscriptions

• A plan adds its monthly credits each billing cycle and renews automatically until cancelled.
• One active plan per account.
• Upgrades start right away — you pay the difference and get the credit difference now.
• Downgrades start at the next renewal. Nothing is charged when you schedule one.
• Cancelling stops the next renewal. The plan stays active until the period ends, and your credits stay yours.
• If a plan's price changes, we tell you before it applies to your next renewal.

Payments and refunds

Dodo Payments is our merchant of record — they handle checkout, invoices, and tax, and their terms also apply to the payment itself. Refunds follow the Refund Policy; nothing here limits the rights you have by law.

If a payment is refunded, reversed, or disputed and lost, the credits it granted are removed. If they were already spent, your balance can go negative and paid features pause until it is restored.

Your content

What you make in Studio Plus is yours. Your media and projects stay on your Mac; we claim no rights over them and never train AI models on them. When you run a cloud feature, you give us permission to send that content to the provider that runs the model — that is the whole use. Make sure you have the rights to the material you import.

AI output

As between you and us, what you generate is yours to use, commercially included, subject to the model provider's terms and the law. AI output can be wrong, and similar prompts can produce similar results for other people. Review what you make before you rely on it — you are responsible for how you use it.

Voices

Clone or design only voices you have the right to use: your own, or someone's who has given you clear permission. Never clone a real person's voice to mislead. We can remove voices and suspend accounts that break this.

Acceptable use

Don't use Studio Plus to break the law or to harm people. That includes:

• Content that sexualizes minors — this ends the account immediately and is reported where the law requires.
• Intimate imagery of a real person without their consent.
• Deepfakes or cloned voices of real people presented as real — impersonation, fraud, or fabricated footage of events.
• Infringing someone's copyright, trademark, or privacy.
• Malware, harassment, or incitement.
• Attacking the service: probing, overloading, or working around credit accounting and purchase limits.
• Reselling access or credits.

We can refuse service, remove content we host, or suspend accounts over this.

Third-party models

Cloud features run on third-party AI services — OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, ElevenLabs, Cartesia, and others. Their behavior, availability, and prices are theirs; models can be added, changed, or removed.

Availability

Studio Plus is provided as is. We work to keep everything running, but we don't promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and features may change or be discontinued.

Liability

To the extent the law allows: we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — lost profits, lost data, lost opportunities — and our total liability for everything arising from these terms is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Where the law gives you rights that can't be limited, they aren't.

If your breach of these terms causes a claim against us, the costs of that claim are yours.

Ending

You can stop using Studio Plus at any time, and delete your account by emailing hi@studioplus.cc. We can suspend or close accounts for serious or repeated breaches of these terms, and credits obtained through fraud or abuse can be removed. Outside of that, your credits remain yours — they never expire.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product changes. The current version lives here with its date below, and meaningful changes are flagged before they apply. Using Studio Plus after a change means the new terms apply.

If part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Refund Policy are the whole agreement.
